Pet Urn Eastern Redbud

The Eastern Redbud is a fragrant majenta-pink flowering tree with heart-shaped leaves. It grows about 15 ft tall, and 15 foot spread.  It grows well in the wild, and is also used as ornamental landscape tree.  Its showy colorful flowers bloom ahead of the leaves, and straight from the trunk or branches.

Amazingly the Eastern Redbud is not just an ornamental plant, but in some parts of the US it has culinary uses.  The green twigs have been used for seasoning wild game, and Native Americans consumed the raw or boiled flowers and roasted seeds.

Hummingbirds, butterflies, cardinal, and deer are attracted to this fragrant ornamental.  The heart shaped leaves transform from marrroon colored in the Spring, to a deep green, after the flowering season.

The Eastern Redbud is an ornamental delight that would be a beautiful memorial to the one you love.
